On the 28 October 2021 the Regiment was delighted to welcome the Colonel of the Regiment, Brigadier Ben Edwards and his wife Pippa toLeuchars Station for the day.
Colonel Ben visited departments across the Regiment. First the Pipes and Drums, followed by a static equipment display and presentation by ASqn, the LAD, MT and QMs. The welfare team welcomed Pippa to the community centre, where she met with families of the soldiers based here.
“It was terribly exciting to return to the Regiment after so many years. Right from being piped in at RHQ to a superb private dinner with the Commanding Officer in the evening, I found every element our wonderful Regiment to be as hearty, strong and excellent as ever it has been. Especial thanks go to Millie and the Welfare Officer James McAleese for arranging a convivial meeting with coffee for Pippa to her reconnect with the close family side of regimental life.
A big thank you to everyone of you and well done for putting on a great visit.”
The Regiment looks forward to seeing the Colonel of the Regiment again soon.
